Japan is a volcanic archipelago consisting of 6,852 islands. The four largest are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku which make up about 97% of Japan's land area.
When visiting Japan, often called the “Land of the Rising Sun”, the first thing that will strike you will be the intertwining of the traditional and the modern which is the very essence of Japanese culture and possibly one of its principal attractions. Long lasting traditions pervade all aspects of life here and will fascinate travellers.

Tokyo Full Day Tour
As the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world Tsukiji Outer Fish Market, handles more than 2,000 tons of marine products a day. Next visit Asakusa Sensoji Temple, one of Tokyo’s most iconic temples. Enjoy a guided walk of Yanaka neighborhoods. Having miraculously avoided major damage during world wars and natural disasters, Yanaka is one of Tokyo's old downtowns. Explore historical sites such as Yanaka Cemetery, traditional wooden houses, atmospheric coffee shops and retro stores.
With your guide and driver travel by coach half way up the famous Mount Fuji for some spectacular panoramic views. Later, enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi followed by a scenic ride on the Hakone Ropeway, one of the world’s longest aerial lifts.
Gion & Pontocho
Pontocho is a narrow alley running parallel to the west bank of the Kamo River, it is considered by many as the most beautiful alley in Kyoto. Gion is Kyoto’s Geisha district. As the night begins, bars, restaurants and a few of the city’s elusive Geisha tea houses along this stone-paved passage start to welcome their guests (sorry no tourists). Other places of interest in Gion include the Kennin-ji Temple, known for its Zen garden and Yasaka Shrine.
Nikko National Park
Explore Nijo Castle, the castle has elaborate décor and fine craftsmanship, the building of the castle started in 1603 and took 23 year to finish. With huge stone walls surrounded by deep moats, Nijo-jo Castle openly demonstrated the power that the Shoguns wielded over Japan for much of its history. Next, we visit the stalls of Nishiki Market, which has been operating for over 400 years. It is known locally as “Kyoto’s pantry” and is a foodies paradise.
Drive through the Kiso mountain range to Nikko. Nikko – meaning ‘sunlight’ – is justifiably one of Japan’s major travel destinations. Our day includes many interesting sights to explore, including Toshgu Shrine a UNESCO Heritage Site, Lake Chuzenji, which resembles the Lake District of England in terms of climate and scenery; and Kegon Waterfalls, one of Japan’s three most beautiful waterfalls.
Nara, located 26 miles outside of Kyoto, was the country's first permanent capital city. It has an abundance of UNESCO World Heritage sites, including some of Japan's oldest Buddhist temples. We travel by coach to explore Todaiji Temple to see Japan's largest Buddha, Deer Park - home to hundreds of freely roaming deer.
